On the expiry of the current season the contract of the 23-year-old Belarusian forward with “Montreal” club comes to an end. That is, A.Kostitsyn becomes a partially free agent.

The results of the regular championship prove that he has become the top goal-scorer of “Belarusian special mission” at National Hockey League having gained 53 points in 78 matches (27 pucks plus 27 scoring passes). Altogether, for three seasons in NHL Kostitsyn Senior has played in 112 matches and has gained 67 (29+38) points. His year’s contract in the current championship makes up $612 thousand. This year A.Kostitsyn has exceeded the season result record for Belarusians players in NHL which was established in 1998 when Vladimir Tsiplakov, forward of “Los Angeles Kings”, gained 52 (18+34) points in 73 matches.

In the current play for Stanley Cup “Montreal”, whose colours are defended by two more Belarusians – 21-year-old Sergey Kostitsyn and 24-year-old Mikhail Grabovski, has reach second round of play-off where in series up to 4 victories it plays against “Philadelphia”.
