Second Belarusian Transport Congress to Be Attended by Russian Specialists

Second Belarusian Transport Congress will be held in Minsk on October 8th-9th.

As is reported by the press service under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the representatives of Volga logistics association, the Guild of logistics operators at Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Non-Government Organization «EUROLAT UNION» (Latvia), Resecne Higher Economic School, Russian Federal Service of Oversight in Transport Sphere as well as some other organizations were invited to participate in the congress.

The purpose of the exhibition is to present all kinds of up-to-date transport and logistics systems as well as the equipment for them, freight services, information and service systems for transport. It also aims at further development of Belarusian transport infrastructure, growth in transit traffic in Eurasian direction and improving the image of Belarus as a transit country.

Belarusian transport congress will give an opportunity to discuss economic, legal, organizational as well as scientific and technical problems of Belarusian transport-logistics system’s development and its integration to logistics chains of goods deliveries in the direction Western Europe-China. During Congress plenary meeting, breakup groups and round tables the participants plan to analyze the possibilities and problems of organizing freight traffic, to explore the most actual and perspective lines of transport-logistics system’s development taking into account international experience and similar work carried out in other countries.

The representatives of UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe), International Transport Forum, IRU, EurAsEC Integration Committee, CIS Executive Committee, and international organizations as well as Transport Ministries of other countries also plan to take part in Belarusian Transport Congress.
