"We are kindred Slavic peoples, united by a single faith and moral values, our destinies are intertwined and soldered by a common history. Russia and Belarus have economies that complement each other. The creation of the Union State is the result of a political process to find a balance between the national interests of states and to unite efforts for further development and overcoming modern challenges and threats in various spheres of life in order to improve the quality of life of our peoples,” said the head of the lower house of the Belarusian parliament
