Saint George Konissky is the saviour of the Belarusian nation (Part 1)

Currently Mogilev is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the canonization of one of the most famous church and public figures in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine: the scientist, poet, and luminary of the eighteenth century George Konissky. The events are being held in the St. Nicholas Convent. The celebrations have included a procession of the cross to George Konissky’s house. A memorial plate has also been erected.<br />
